Now that Spring is now here and the weather becomes more favorite for outdoor recreation, many of us have been inspired to rekindle our own sports and recreation adventures. Some of us just want to get started 😉. Whether you are a seasoned athlete or have yet to leave the couch, these lists are perfect for everyone.
I’ve included both common sports known across the world plus regional favorites such as ‘curling’ and ‘bandy’. I’ve even included the North Sami word for ‘reindeer racing’ in that list, to reflect how much reindeer are a part of the Sami culture. In addition, the Sami languages’ vocabulary lists focus much more on winter sports in general than the other languages.
I have included both ‘winter’ and ‘summer’ sports, as well as year round sports. Since the lists are customized to each language, you may notice the heavier emphasis on winter sports for some languages than others.
