One common way of saying you like something is ‘s’mie lhiam‘, followed by what you like. Examples:

To say somebody else likes something, you simply modify the statement according to who is doing the liking. Examples:

- S’mie lesh eeastagh. He likes fishing.
- S’mie lhee eh. She likes him.
To say you don’t like something, we simply replace ‘s’mie‘ with ‘cha mie‘. Examples:
- Cha mie lhiam caffee. I don’t like coffee.
- Cha mie lesh Illiam snaue. Illiam (William) doesn’t like swimming.
