This is another book from the popular Teach Yourself series. It is aimed at those with no knowledge of Swedish. Even though I had already started learning Swedish through my phone well before this, I felt it couldn’t hurt starting a more formal study from scratch.
The overall pace in this book was pretty decent, although sometimes I felt I could have handled a more challenging pace. But since I obviously bought a book aimed at complete beginners, I felt the pacing was quite appropriate for their intended audience.
I loved the clear audio on the MP3 disk that accompanied the book. However, I am not a fan of Teach Yourself’s apparent transitioning to MP3 discs instead of ordinary CDs. Even though my first move when acquiring a book with CDs is to import them to my phone via computer, I find the MP3 discs so much more difficult when it comes to the importing process. It’s almost as iTunes hates MP3 only discs.
Anyway, the most important part for me is the actual content and since I found it satisfactory, I still would rate this book as very good.
