Mastering Arabic 1 – End of book review

I finally finished work with this book last night, a little over four months after I officially began my journey to learn Arabic. I had played with learning the alphabet before, but for a long time, I just felt I didn’t have the time to start learning such a complex language. But one day, I decided I was just going to do it. From the first time I looked at the book in the bookstore, I knew this was the book for me. However, being the cheapskate that I am 😉 , I simply searched on Amazon for the book and got it a lot cheaper there during their Black Friday sale.

Anyhow, it’s time for me to discuss the book itself. The layout is not the least bit boring with all the full color pictures and illustrations. But of course, appearances are not the most important aspect of a language learning book. Fortunately, this book has a lot more to offer than a pretty layout. The learning moves at a perfect pace – neither too slow, nor too fast. This ideal learning pace helps one to get a good grip on a language that is fundamentally different from the English language.

Another thing I liked about this book was the variety of the content throughout each chapter. Below are some examples:

If you are considering learning Arabic, I highly recommend this book. It has certainly helped me on my language learning journey :).
