Good resources for language learners can be quite pricey, especially for certain languages. However, once in a while, I am fortunate enough to stumble on a free or low cost resource that actually works.
As for me, I greatly prefer paper books rather than e-books or apps as my primary source for learning a language. However, when I decided to start learning Chinese, I stumbled across a great app that gives me the option of learning pinyin and characters at the same time and provides pronunciation by native Chinese speakers. Best of all, this app is free. Not just a free trial, but completely free. For something that costs absolutely nothing it is quite comprehensive. This app is called “ChineseSkill”.
It can found in Apple’s App Store and Google Play (and possibly other places). If you are even remotely interested in learning Chinese, it can’t hurt one bit to down this app. Chances are you’ll love it as much as I do. However, even if you don’t, you won’t be out any money ;).
