I have been learning Icelandic for over a year now. So I was excited to get these books featuring centuries old Icelandic sagas in Icelandic.
When I first got them, I was hoping to tell everyone afterwards how much I enjoy reading them. I expected it to be one of those experiences where I had a hard time putting the book down. However, I spent the whole time I was reading Grænlandinga Saga (the first part of the book on the right) waiting for the part where I get completely hooked on the story. I finally finish the last page. Still waiting. 😦
To be fair, there are a lot more Icelandic sagas out there. Hopefully the next one will catch my interest.
